Williams Racing Golf (WRG) played a big part in rugby legend Mike Tindall’s Celebrity Golf Classic at The Belfry, hosting a ‘Drive the Green’ competition at the famous 10th tee and giving away over 30 prizes of the latest Williams equipment.

Celebrities from the worlds of sport and entertainment were among 100 players who had the opportunity to use a WRG MR Player Series driver to reach the green at the challenging 272 yard par-four 10th after playing their own regular ball. Twelve players who used the driver for the first time made it onto the putting surface.

Three of the successful players were drawn at random to win the driver they used to reach the green, while WRG also kitted out the day’s overall winning team with prizes including cart bags and a selection of the brand’s premium golf clubs. (more…)


Former England international rugby player Mike Tindall and his royal brother-in-law Peter Phillips have both been fitted for Williams Racing Golf (WRG) clubs ahead of Mike’s charity golf day next month.

The golf-loving pair, who play together at Minchinhampton Golf Club in Gloucester, had their swings analysed at the WRG Centre of Excellence at Magnolia Park, near Bicester, Oxfordshire by club fitter Dean Davis to customise each club to their individual specification for maximum performance.

They were both put through their paces using the Williams’ Single Frequency (WSF) club assembly system that allows a full set of clubs to be made with the same flex, feel and swing weight – enabling the torque of the club to behave reliably throughout the set and increase swing consistency.
