In a ground-breaking move from March 1, the brand is closing the price gap between models sold with Lithium and Lead-acid batteries to just £100 – a drop of £50 on previous price points – with golfers able to purchase a Lithium-powered model from its 2016 trolley range for less than £400. (more…)
A customer survey conducted by ClubstoHire.com, the No.1 golf club rental operator worldwide, has found that over 96% of golfers plan to take two or more golfing holidays during the next two years.
And of the 2,300 travelling golfers who took part in the survey, two-thirds (66%) indicated that they intend to take as many as three or more golfing holidays over the same period. Most rental customers have a handicap of 18 and above.
The results point to continued growth in the golf travel industry and are welcomed by ClubstoHire as it looks to expand a service that has helped travelling golfers save an estimated £2.7m (€3.5m/$4m) in airline excess charges over the past five years. (more…)

Brand Fusion, the leading distributor of branded and licensed products to the golf trade, has won its first criminal court case against counterfeit sellers of the putter grip made famous by world No.1 Jordan Spieth.
Last Friday (15 January), Judge DDJ Edwards at Preston Magistrates’ Court accepted a guilty plea from Stephen Prue of the RS Golf Company Ltd to all five charges relating to his selling counterfeit SuperStroke grips. As well as gaining a criminal record, he was sentenced to a 12-month Community Order with 80 hours of unpaid work on each count to run concurrently and his company was fined £500. (more…)
