The Bettinardi Arm Lock putter, made famous by Matt Kuchar who enjoyed his second-best Major finish at the Masters earlier this month, proved instrumental in winning the Trophee Hassan II title on the European Tour last weekend.
The distinctive club designed by Bettinardi to help Kuchar adapt to a new technique for long-handle putters, featured in a dramatic 20-foot putt for an eagle finish on the last hole in regulation play and a title-winning two-putt on the first play-off hole on the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam course in Rabat, Morocco. Tracey and Amelia Williamson from Royal Cromer Golf Club claimed their fourth successive Mothers and Daughters’ title on Saturday (8th April), with a three-shot victory at Royal Mid-Surrey Golf Club in south-west London.
Held at the Richmond venue for the last 55-years, the 27-hole medal foursomes event is open to female pairings from across the UK and remains one of the country’s longest-running events for lady golfers, having been first played in 1932.
Sixteen-year-old Amelia, playing off +3 and her mother Tracey playing off 1, shot a flawless level-par round of 71 in the opening 18-holes on the historic Pam Barton Course, named after the legendary golfer and club member who won the title in 1936. A three-over par 38 on the final nine holes was enough for the victory over a field of 40-parings that took part. (more…)

And the Spaniard rolled in a clutch birdie putt with his striking blue and yellow 1.0P prototype putter grip on the first playoff hole to claim his first Major title at the 74th attempt. (more…)
Wilson Golf has released the world’s most adjustable multi-piece driver on general sale in the UK, featuring two interchangeable sole plates for optimal launch, spin and extraordinary distance.
The Wilson Staff Triton was the winning creation from reality TV show Driver Vs Driver that featured on the Golf Channel over a seven-week period at the end of last year. It challenged designers from outside the golf industry to find a radically new model and compete for a $500,000 winning prize.
Showcasing revolutionary designs from around the United States, the initial tri-winged shape of the sole plate and the three sole weight ports was created by University of Cincinnati graduate and industrial designer Eric Sillies. He then perfected the design with help of the Wilson Golf LABS team over a 16-month period before claiming his prize.
“This is truly a world class product,” said Jon Pergande, Wilson Golf Innovation Manager. “It was a new, fun experience to work with people and concepts from outside of the golf industry. I am extremely proud of the work done by the Wilson LABS team and more importantly, the final quality and performance of the product,” he added. (more…)
