A customer survey conducted by ClubstoHire.com, the No.1 golf club rental operator worldwide, has found that over 96% of golfers plan to take two or more golfing holidays during the next two years.
And of the 2,300 travelling golfers who took part in the survey, two-thirds (66%) indicated that they intend to take as many as three or more golfing holidays over the same period. Most rental customers have a handicap of 18 and above.
The results point to continued growth in the golf travel industry and are welcomed by ClubstoHire as it looks to expand a service that has helped travelling golfers save an estimated £2.7m (€3.5m/$4m) in airline excess charges over the past five years. (more…)

Galvin Green is delighted to announce the continued sponsorship of the PGA Assistants’ Championship for the second year running. The agreement with the PGA will re-enforce the brands supporting role in the next generation of PGA Professionals across Great Britain and Ireland.
This year’s Galvin Green PGA Assistant’s Championship final will be held at a new venue – Little Aston Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield from 3-5 August – following seven regional qualifying events across the U.K and Ireland in May at prestigious venues such as Craigielaw Golf Club, East Lothian (PGA Scotland), County Meath in Trim (PGA Ireland) and Purdis Heath Golf Club in Ipswich (PGA East).
Around 120 Assistant Professionals will compete for the first prize of £5,000, a Galvin Green wardrobe and entry to the end of season PGA Play-Offs and the Australian PGA Futures Championship.
