Carly Booth, one of the UK’s leading female golfers, dropped by Royal Birkdale last week to sign a multi-year deal to play on the Ladies European Tour with a Pink Volvik S4 golf ball.

The popular Scottish player with a big social media following had used the same ball to qualify for this month’s US Open in New Jersey for the first time.

Carly signed the agreement with Volvik Chairman and founder Kyungahn Moon, who was over from South Korea and attended his first Open Championship. (more…)

Volvik, the brand leader in multi-coloured performance golf balls, has signed women’s golf star Carly Booth on a multi-year deal after she used the Volvik S4 ball to qualify for this month’s US Open.

The Scot will tee up the Pink S4 ball as an official Volvik Staffer at the LPGA Thornberry Creek Classic in Wisconsin this week, before making her second US Open appearance at the Trump National Bedminster course in New Jersey from July 13 – 16.

She joins an increasing number of world-class golfers using Volvik balls on Tour, including two-time Masters champion Bubba Watson and multiple LPGA winners such as Lee Il Hee and Chella Choi. (more…)

Golfers have been turning to coloured golf balls in droves since Bubba Watson began playing on the PGA Tour with a Pink S4 ball from Volvik, brand leader in multi-coloured performance golf balls.

Golf shops across the UK report spontaneous pre-game trial purchases of single red, orange, green as well as pink Volvik VIVID balls, which often result in follow up sales of the 3-piece matte coloured balls by the dozen.

“It’s been the quickest-selling golf ball I’ve ever had in my Pro Shop,” said Jon Newham, at Mapperley Golf Club in Nottingham. “The Volvik stand sits on my counter with a plastic tub next to it full of 2-3 dozen different coloured balls. Ninety-nine percent of my box sales come from customers who started out buying a single ball for £3.50. I first ordered 12 dozen and sold them all in two weeks, so I’ve ordered more and added an extra colour – blue – which lots of people have asked for. (more…)

Bubba Watson will add even more colour to next week’s Masters as he’s set to play a Green Volvik S4 golf ball at a Major for the first time.

The two-time Masters champion signed a multi-year agreement on New Year’s day with Volvik, the brand leader in multi-coloured performance golf balls based in South Korea. As part of the deal, Bubba can decide whether to play with a Green, Pink and White ball on any day of his choice.

So far this year, he has played largely with the Pink version of the premium-priced ball on the PGA Tour. But Volvik has now confirmed that he will play a Green ball at some stage during the Masters tournament in an attempt to win a third green jacket. (more…)
